I contacted Gene and this is the email that I received back.


I am currently an inpatient at UW Hospital awaiting identification of a nursing home that would take me for rehab.


On 11/30, I was given my initial chemotherapy for my newly diagnosed stage 4 lung cancer. On the fourth day after chemo it completely knocked my socks off.  I am very weak all over, have trouble standing without support, and my neuropathy in hands and feet has gotten much worse.


I am being told that with passage of time these negative issues should all disappear.
