Cherry Bread

Ingredients:

1 cup Sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
2 cups Sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup Milk
1 cup Sifted all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 8 ounce jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
2 Tablespoons Butter, melted

Method:

Add the sugar to eggs in a mixing bowl; beat well. Mix in 2 cups flour,
adding alternately with the milk. Combine 1 cup flour, baking powder, and salt;
stir into batter. Add cherries and butter, mix well. Pour into a greased and
floured loaf pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
