Killer Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients:

½ cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup walnuts, chopped

Method:

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Beat with a spoon to remove any lumps. Add the egg and beat in to incorporate.
3. Add salt, vanilla and baking powder, stirring to incorporate. Add flour and stir until well combined. Stir in walnuts and pour into prepared pan.
4. Bake for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool in pan on a wire rack.
