WHAT IS A MARINADE?
A marinade is a sauce, typically made of oil, vinegar, spices, and herbs, in which meat, fish, or other food is soaked before cooking in order to flavor or soften it.
HOW DO YOU MAKE CHICKEN MARINADE?
1. In a large ziploc bag or container, combine 1/2 c. olive oil, 1/2 c. orange juice, 1/4 c. brown sugar, 2 Tbsp. lemon juice, 2 Tbsp. soy sauce, 1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tsp. dried minced onion, 1/2 tsp. dried thyme, 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Stir until combined.
2. Add 2 lbs. chicken, close bag, and shake gently until chicken is completely covered.
3. Refrigerate for 2 hours or up to 2 days.
4. Remove chicken from the bag and discard marinade.
5. Grill or prepare chicken as desired.

CAN YOU MARINATE FROZEN CHICKEN?
Marinating frozen chicken is a great way to go. You an actually add the marinade to the chicken while it is still frozen and let it thaw as it is soaking up the flavor of the marinade.
CAN YOU REUSE MARINADE?
Marinade can not be reused as it contains harmful bacteria. If you would like to use some of your marinade as a sauce, it is best to reserve a small amount for this purpose.
