1 cup butter, softened at room temp.
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
6 oz. Semi Sweet chocolate chips, or more;
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Grease jelly roll pan or, better yet,
Line jelly roll pan with parchment paper and lightly spray.
In large bowl, cream butter and sugars until creamy.
Add flour, salt and vanilla. When mixed well,
grease hands and mix in chocolate chips and pecans.
Press batter/dough in pan, pressing to even out, making sure it reaches edges.
When completely cool, break into pieces as you would peanut brittle.
Store in air tight container.

Bake 20-25 minutes, don't over bake. It will be firmer when it cools.
