6 eggs, separated
1 quart milk
1 pint cream
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
3/4 cup sugar
3 ounces bourbon
3 ounces spiced Rum
Beat the egg yolks well till they turn light in color. (You'll be able to
feel the different thickness). As you beat, add 1/2 cup of sugar.
Now, add milk, cream and liquor to the finished yolks. Let stand while you
beat the egg whites until you notice peaks forming. This takes a while and
works well when the beaters are cold. Fold egg whites into yolk
mixture.Grate fresh nutmeg over this seasonal beverage.
