1 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
/2 cup milk
Filling
Whole Cranberry sauce or Cranberry compote
Vanilla frosting Optional or confectioners sugar
Preheat Oven to 375degrees
Grease two 8 inch round cake Pans set aside
Sift together Flour, Salt, and Baking Powder set aside
Cream Butter and sugar beating until light and fluffy beat in vanilla until smooth
Beat in eggs one at a time beating hard after each addition
Add flour mixture alternately to creamed mixture with Milk starting with flour and ending with flour.
pour into pans bake about 25 minutes until done cake starts to pull away from sides of pan
cool completely on wire rack
on top of one cake spread filling top with second cake.
sprinkle with confectioners sugar or frost top with vanilla frosting
