1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce (Hunt's)
1/4 cup brown sugar (dry or liquid)
1 teaspoon mustard
1 egg, beaten
1 medium onion, minced
1/4 cup cracker or Italian bread crumbs
2 pounds ground chuck
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup vinegar (optional)
In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, mustard and if desired, vinegar. Set aside. Beat egg in a large bowl; add onion, crumbs, ground chuck, salt and pepper. Add 1/2 cup of the tomato mixture and blend thoroughly. Place
in meat loaf pan and bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees or until center is
done.
When meat loaf is done, pour remaining tomato sauce mixture over it and serve.
