Caramel Pecan Bars

Ingredients:

Crust:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 cups flour
1 egg
Filling:
3 cups pecan halves
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup whipping cream

Method:

To make Crust, combine all ingredients until blended, using electric mixer
or food processor. Press evenly into a 15 by 10 by 3/4 inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. To make Filling, spread pecans evenly
over Crust. In large heavy saucepan, melt butter and honey. Add brown sugar.
Boil for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly, until its a rich caramel
color. Remove from heat. Stir in cream; mix well. Pour over pecans. Bake for
15 minutes longer. Cool; cut into bars. Freezes well.
