Filled French Toast

Ingredients:

Filling:
4 ounce cream cheese, room temp (or4 Tablespoons Whipped cream cheese,)
2 tsp. honey
French toast Ingredients
2 eggs
1-1/2 teaspoons white sugar
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg if desired
Scant 2/3 cup milk

Method:

Preheat Griddle and place butter pats on to melt. (Can use skillet on medium
high)
Filling Preparation
Beat together until smooth. Make sandwiches with white bread, day old is
best. Cut in half, diagonally
French Toast Preparation
Break eggs in a shallow bowl, breaking yoke and mixing with fork. Add
sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and milk.
Dip each sandwich piece into mixture, coating on both sides. Place on
griddle, (or in skillet) browning on both sides.
. (as you would a grilled cheese sandwich)

Helpful Hints:

Serve with fruit topping or maple syrup.
If this makes too many, after dipping in mixture, these can be frozen, placing on a shallow pan, an after an hour, sealed in a plastic bag. Cook
as above, defrosting is not necessary.
