Irish Scones

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 stick melted butter
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup raisins

Method:

plump raisins by soaking in hot water for a half hour
drain well
mix dry ingredients together
add melted butter
mix beaten egg and milk together
stir into batter
stir in raisins
drop by teaspoons onto baking sheet
apply melted butter to each with brush. sprinkle with sugar
and bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes
