1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (15.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2 Place the confectioners' sugar in a shallow bowl.
3 In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese and the butter and beat with an electric hand mixer until creamy.
4 Stir the egg and the vanilla into the cream cheese mixture.
5 Add the cake mix to the cream cheese mixture and stir until well-blended.
6 Roll the dough into 1-inch balls; there should be 24 in total.
7 Roll the dough balls in the confectioners' sugar to coat.
8 Place the dough balls 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
9 Bake the cookies until they are set, about 10 to 13 minutes.
10 Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool.
11 Serve.
