Ingredients:

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup self rising flour
,1 cup milk
1 stick butter or margarine
1 pound 13 oz. canned sliced peaches including syrup

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Lightly grease a 9 inch baking dish.
3. Melt butter (or margarine) place in prepared dish,
4. In a bowl, mix together: sugar and flour.
5. Gradually beat in the milk.
6. Gradually, pour the flour mixture over the butter. Do Not
Stir.
7. Spoon fruit, including syrup, over the flour mixture. Do Not
Stir.
8. place on cookie sheet before placing in oven. This is to
avoid a messy oven in case cobbler bubbles over.
9. Bake at 350
degrees for 55 to 60 minutes.
10. As it bakes, the batter will rise around the fruit. I bake mine for 60 minutes.
11. Note: if using all purpose flour, add 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
12. Use 2 regular size (about 15.5 oz.) cans of peaches if the one listed
isn't available; Top with vanilla ice cream, if not eating for
breakfast...Smile.
