1 (18.5 ounce) box yellow cake mix
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 stick butter
1 & 1/2 cups sugar
Prepare cake batter as directed on package, reserving 1 cup for topping.
Pour into 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 27 to 30 minutes.
In saucepan,
combine pineapple, butter, sugar & 1 cup reserved cake batter.
Cook & stir over low heat until mixture begins to thicken.
Pour over hot cake.
