7-Layer Salad

Ingredients:

1 pound bacon
1 large head of iceberg lettuce, rinsed, dried, and chopped
1 red onion, chopped
1 (10-ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed
10 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup cauliflower, chopped
1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white sugar
2/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Method:

Step 1 In a large, deep skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until browned and crispy.
Step 2 Crumble the bacon and set it aside.
Step 3 In a large, flat bowl, place a layer of the chopped lettuce.
Step 4 Layer the onion, peas, shredded cheese, cauliflower, and bacon (in that order) on top of the lettuce.
Step 5 Whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, and parmesan cheese to make the dressing.
Step 6 Drizzle the dressing over the salad.
Step 7 Refrigerate the salad until chilled and then serve.
