AUNT NELLAS COLD OVEN POUND CAKE

Ingredients:

2 sticks butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract

Method:

Cream together butter, sugar and Crisco together well. Add
eggs one at a time; add flavorings. Add milk alternating
with flour (beginning and ending with flour). Turn batter
into a greased tube pan and spread batter out evenly.

Put the pan in a cold oven and set the temperature on 275°F.

Bake for 1 1/2 hours turning oven up no higher than 300
