Blondie SWIRLS

1/2 c. butter
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large saucepan, melt
butter. Stir in brown sugar. Remove from heat and let cool.
Meanwhile, grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch pan; set aside.

Beat eggs, one at a time, into brown sugar mixture. Add
vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; beat in
until blended. Stir in walnuts and 1/4 cup of the chocolate
morsels. Spread mixture in baking pan, and sprinkle
remaining chocolate morsels on top.

Place pan in oven for 3 minutes. Remove pan and lightly run
a knife through batter a few times so chocolate forms a
marble pattern. Quickly return pan to oven and bake 30
minutes longer. Let cool completely. Then cut into 15 blondies.
