Broccoli and Bacon Salad


1 large bunch of fresh broccoli
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 pound cooked bacon
1/2 large red onion
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sugar
2 TBLSP vinegar


Cut broccoli into small pieces. Chop onion. Mix broccoli, onion, walnuts and
raisins. Cut raw bacon into small pieces. Brown bacon; drain well. Toss
into salad. Mix mayo, vinegar and sugar and pour over salad, toss well.
Refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.

Helpful Hints:

You may substitute green grapes or sunflower seeds for the raisins.
