Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cake

Ingredients:

1 box devil's food cake mix
1 (21-oz) can cherry pie filling
2 large eggs
1 tsp pure almond extract

Method:

Place rack in center of oven & heat to 350°F.
Lightly mist 13"x9" baking pan
with vegetable oil spray.
Set pan aside.
Place all ingredients into large mixing bowl & beat with electric mixer on low for 1 minute. Stop machine & scrape down
sides of bowl with rubber spatula. Increase speed to medium & beat 2 minutes more.
should look thick & well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan, smoothing
top with spatula.
Place pan in oven & bake 30-35 min.
Remove pan from oven & place on wire rack to cool.
