1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 cup flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup (1/2 pint) light cream
Salt and pepper
In a saucepan, melt butter and saute garlic, onion and apple for 5 minutes. Stir in curry powder and saute for 1 minute more. Stir in flour and gradually add chicken broth and cream. Stir over low heat until sauce bubbles and thickens. Season to taste by adding salt and pepper. Serve with cooked sliced turkey or chicken.
Makes 2 cups.
