Earthquake Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup pecans (halves or chopped)
1 cup sweetened coconut
1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 8 oz package cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 16 oz box powdered sugar(4 cups)

Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a 9 X 13 pan with cooking spray and dust with flour.

Prepare the cake batter according to the directions on the cake mix box.

Spread the pecans and coconut in the bottom of your prepared pan.

Spread the cake batter on top of the pecans and coconut.

Mix the cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar thoroughly together.

Take a tablespoon and drop dollops of the cream cheese mixture in the center of the cake batter. Leave about a 1 inch edge around the cake's edge. If you put the cream cheese mixture too close to the edges it will spill
over into your oven.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. cool on a rack and serve the cake from the pan you cooked it in.
