Easy Cherry Pudding


1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 (16 ounce) can Stokelys Finest Red Sour Pitted Cherries
1/2 cup sugar


In 9 inch square pan, melt butter or margarine. In bowl combine sugar, flour, baking powder and milk. Mix until well blended. Pour over melted butter; do not stir. Pour undrained cherries over batter; do not stir. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over cherries; do not stir. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
Makes 9 servings.
