French Onion Noodle Soup


• 1/2cupbuttersalted
• 4sweet onionssliced
• 8 cupsbeef broth
• 1/4cupcooking sherry
• 1/4cupgranulated sugar
• 2Tbsp. all purpose flour
• 2 1/2tsp. salt
• 2tsp. worcestershire sauce
• 2 bay leavesdried
• 2sprigsfresh thyme
• 1bagReames Frozen Egg Noodles
• or gruyere cheeseshredded


1. Melt butter in a large soup pot over medium-low heat.
2. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring regularly, over medium-low heat until caramelized. Onions will be a rich golden brown color.
3. Add in beef broth, cooking sherry, sugar, flour, salt, and worcestershire sauce. Whisk until smooth.
4. Add bay leaves, thyme sprigs, and Frozen Egg Noodles.
5. Bring soup to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until noodles are fully cooked.
6. Top with shredded cheese; garnish with fresh thyme and ground pepper.
