Fruit Crisp

Ingredients:

For fruit filling, choose one (1) of the following::
4 cups diced pared & cored baking apples
1 1 pound & 13 ounce Can peaches, drained
Or:
1 Can peach, cherry, or pie filling
Topping:
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup oatmeal-old fashion
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg (if desired)
1 stick soft margarine or butter

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Grease a round or square baking dish.
3. Place fruit in dish.
4. Combine topping ingredients in bowl until mixture is crumbly. Use fingers
to crumble after mixing.
5. With fingers, crumble evenly over top of fruit.
6. Bake 35 to 40 minutes if using fresh fruit, or 20 to 25 for pie filling.
Top with ice cream or whipped cream (Cool Whip style)
