Kay's Chili

Ingredients:

2 lbs. ground beef
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 green pepper chopped
1 large onion chopped
1 or 2 cans beans (any variety), drained
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tblsp.to 1/3 cup chili powder (depends on how hot you want it)
1or 2 tsp. cumin
1 to 4 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
12 oz. beer (optional)

Method:

Brown ground beef and saut? onion and garlic. Put into a crockpot with the rest of the ingredients. Cook on low for hours! You may thicken the chili with some flour but this is not necessary.
Serve with any or none of these toppings:
Chopped cilantro
Shredded cheese
Sour cream
Chopped green onions
Tortilla chips

Helpful Hints:

I like to serve this with jalapeno cheese cornbread but that is just me!
You can also put this on a hot dog and call it a chili dog. Or you can lay out a flour tortilla and put a full ribbon of chili down the middle, roll it up and call it a burrito. Oh my the possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
