Plum Cobbler

Ingredients:

3/4 cup Karo Light Corn Syrup
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 pounds ripe fresh plums, pitted, quartered
1 1/4 cups buttermilk baking mix
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts, optional
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar

Method:

Stir together corn syrup, cornstarch and cinnamon; toss with plums. Spoon into 8x8x2 inch baking dish. Bake in 400 degree oven 15 minutes. Meanwhile, mix remaining ingredients. Beat vigorously 20 strokes. Drop by spoonfuls onto hot plums. Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer.
