Pot o' gold biscuits

2 cups sifted flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teasp. Salt
? cup shortening
? cup grated yams, raw
? cup orange juice or milk


Sift dry ingredients. Blend in shortening. Stir in grated yams with ? the liquid, adding more liquid as needed. The dough will be stiff. Roll out on a floured board to ? inch thickness. Cut into desired shape and bake at 450 F for 10-12 minutes.
