Raisin Sauce


1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 Tablespoon flour
1/8 teaspoon pepper
few grains of mace, nutmeg and cinnamon
1/4 to 1/2 cup seedless raisins
1/4 cup vinegar
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 Tablespoon dry mustard
1/2 Tablespoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cloves


Mix dry ingredients. Add raisins, vinegar and water.
Cook to a syrup. Serve hot. May be reheated.
