Rice Pudding


3 cups milk
1/2 cup long grain rice
1/3 cup raisins optional
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon


In a heavy medium saucepan bring milk to boiling. Stir in rice, raisins and
1/4 teaspoon salt. Cover and cook over low heat stirring occasionally for 30
to 40 minutes or till most of milk is absorbed. Spoon in to serving bowls
and dot with butter and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
