Seven Up Pound Cake

Ingredients:

2 sticks margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons lemon extract
10 ounces 7-Up soda (Sprite works well also) This measurement is 1 1/4 cups

Method:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans. Beat margarine,
shortening and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after
each addition. Add flour alternately with 7-Up and flavorings, beating
well to incorporate and aerate. Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour, or until
tests done with pick. Makes 2 loaf cakes.
