Skillet Caramel Apples


1 large apple, cored and sliced into thin wedges
1 Tbsp. butter
For caramel:
1/4 c Truvia® Brown Sugar Blend
1 tsp. corn starch
2 Tbsp. water
1/3 c. half & half
1/8 tsp. kosher salt
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. chopped peanuts


1. Heat 1 Tbsp. butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
2. Add apples and saute 5 minutes or until apples soften and begin to brown. Remove from heat.
3. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine Truvia® Brown Sugar Blend, corn starch, water, half & half, and kosher salt.
4. Cook, stirring, over medium-high heat until mixture begins to bubble and thicken.
5. Cook 2 to 3 minutes more, until mixture is a rich caramel color. Remove from heat.
6. Stir in 1 Tbsp. butter and ½ tsp. vanilla.
7. Pour over apples and top with chopped peanuts.
