Swiss Steak 3


1 pound round or chuck steak, cut into serving sized pieces
2 Tablespoons flour
Salt and pepper
1 can Campbell's Golden Mushroom Soup (no substitutes)
1/2 can of water
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


Coat steak in flour and salt and pepper and brown in 1 Tablespoon
shortening. Mix Golden mushroom soup, water, and Worcestershire sauce. In a casserole with a lid that seals well (sometimes I cover with aluminum foil and then put on the lid, you want to keep the juices IN) put the steaks and dump on the sauce. Bake for approx. 2 hours at 350 degrees F.
