The Midwests Best Casserole

Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 (15.5-ounce) can of sloppy joe sauce
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cups biscuit/baking mix
2 large eggs, room temperature, lightly beaten
1 cup milk, 2%
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Method:

1 Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
2 Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
3 In a large skillet, cook and crumble the beef over medium heat until it is no longer pink, about 7 to 10 minutes.
4 Drain the grease from the skillet.
5 Stir the sloppy joe sauce into the meat and ensure the meat is thoroughly covered.
6 Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking dish.
7 Sprinkle the meat mixture with the cheese.
8 In a large bowl, combine the biscuit mix, eggs, and milk until it is just blended.
9 Pour the biscuit mixture over the cheese on the meat mixture and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
10 Bake, uncovered, until golden brown, about 25 minutes.
