almond flapjacks (Cookies)


2 level tablespoons sugar
2 ounces margarine
1 tablespoon golden syrup
one half teaspoon almond essence
4 ounces quick porridge oats
1 tablespoon ground almonds.


Grease a six inch sandwich tin. Gently heat sugar margarine and
syrup. Then stir in oats, almonds and essence. Turn mixture into the tin
and press down evenly. Bake at 375 F until golden, around twenty minutes.
Cut into 8 pieces while warm. Then leave to cool and remove pieces onto a
wire tray.
