Lexi’s email:

“Things definitely seem to be looking extremely encouraging for Terry. He was supposed to have been extubated 2 days ago, but somehow, he managed to push
the tube out with his tongue and got it out himself while the nurses stepped away to take an emergency call in another room. Yesterday was the first day
of him being completely off the breathing tube, and he seems to be doing really well. He is still breathing on his own on what they call a Bi-Pap machine
which is something very similar to the C-Pap. Terry has also been talking a lot more now that he has that breathing tube out. He has asked for water, he
has asked to go to the bathroom, and he does not like that Bi-Pap machine so he has asked to be taken off of it. The nurse told me today that Terry was
very restless last night, so they had to give him some medication to sedate him. Terry does seem very confused and groggy today but that's because of the
medication. Other than that, things are looking very promising. His kidneys are outputting adequately, his blood pressure is looking good even with him
not being on the blood pressure medication, and his heart rate is also looking good. The nurse has also informed me that the doctors will be talking with
the family to determine what Terry's prognosis is, and to hopefully establish a plan of care for him going forward. Please pray for that conversation to
go as smoothly as possible. I will send out another update once I found out what the doctors have said.”
