    Update from Gene's daughter  Lisa 

Today Dad had a CT lung scan and follow-up appointment with his oncologist. Turns out the chemo that was so hard on Dad was also hard on his lung cancer.  All the tumors are smaller now. So that is the silver lining to all that he’s been through. Current plan is to have another scan in 4 months and give Dad that time to regain more strength. He’s doing pretty well at home and continues to get a bit stronger each day. 

One of the most challenging side effects from the chemo has been neuropathy in his fingers so reading braille continues to be really difficult for him. His doctor is hopeful that will improve over time so Dad can get back to enjoying some cribbage.
